- I used both chicken and drumsticks
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 medium sized onion chopped
start off by putting all dry ingredients into a bowl and mix .
Put the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, coat your chicken (and save the leftover flour) add your chicken to the pan but don’t overcrowd your pan.
Cook your chicken until it is golden brown, once its golden brown take it out of the pan and set it aside.
Leave the oil in the pan and add the onions, let the onions cook for 2 minutes then add the garlic and let that cook for a minute, remove from the pan.
Add 3 teaspoons of flour to the pan and mix it with the oil, add 2 cups of chicken broth and mix make sure there aren’t any lumps.
Let that cook for 2 minutes, then add a cup of milk and let that cook for 3 minutes then you can add the chicken and garlic/onions back in the pan.
Cover and let it cook for 35 minutes, make sure to check and turn chicken occasionally.
You can serve with rice (like I did) or mashed potatoes 🙂
